DAISY TEA PARTY

Whew!!!  So we finally had the Girl Scout Daisy Tea Party last night and it was WONDERFUL!!!   After a few long nights of Baking Daisy Cookie Pops and Lavender Marshmallow Pops I would say it was all worth it!!

I think the cookies and pops came out well after a long day in the office!

Each Daisy got to take home their very own tea cup that I found in the dollar bins at Michael's

Table setting, paper fans from Oriental Trading Company, tin buckets from Target dollar section
found tons of pastel colored Easter candy on clearance...Oh and I made Yarn Poms for decorations
the girls loved the poms!  Some of the moms said that they were going to make hair bows out of them..who knew!  Keisha Sibert from over at Cupcake Wishes and Birthday Dreams gave me the idea you can find a tutorial here!

The girls made these teapot and roses necklaces that I found on Oriental Trading!

We talked to them about hands being in their laps while waiting to be served and placing their napkins in their laps during meal time.  They were all so very polite and proper!

Dinner consisted of Petite Croissants with Ham and Maple Turkey Breast, Fruit Salad, and Tri-Color Pasta Salad, Lemonade Tea or Apple Juice!

At the end they all hit up the candy buffet and well you know kids go crazy for sugar!  A few of the troop leaders had to jump in and assist....LOL!

Each Daisy got to take home their very own tea set that I found at Michael's on clearance for $1.49 along with their tea cups that they used during the party!

EASTER CUPCAKE BAKING!!!

Oooh I Love Holidays!!!  So I decided to bake cupcakes for my baby girl's Kindergarten class Easter celebration and found the cutest baking cups by Wilton.  The Darn things cost $4.00 which is insane and I probably should not have spent that much but you know it's Easter and they were cute and well......

The directions on the package said to only fill the cups with 3 tablespoons of batter which seemed like to little to me but I whipped out my Large Pampered Chef scoop and figured that should work!  Scared the whole time to look in the oven in case there was massive spillage...LOL!

21 mins. later there were perfectly filled baking cups!!!  YAY ME!

I hope they enjoy as I know parents will hate me come tomorrow afternoon (there are 7.5 cups of powered sugar in the butter cream) They are topped with WAY TOOO SWEET Sweet Tart Jelly Beans and Hershey Chocolate Eggs!  Oh and the Butter Cream Icing is flavored with my new found flavoring love Creme Bouquet thanks to Keisha Sibert over at Cupcake Wishes and Birthday Dreams!  You can find the baking emulsion at BakeItPretty.Com

****Still working on the Daisy Tea Party!!!  Got some great finds at Michael's over the weekend!  Pics and details to come soon!
